Job summary

Windsor Property Management Company is seeking an Apartment Service Tech III at Windsor South Lamar in Austin, TX. This role supports multifamily properties with maintenance across apartment homes, common areas, and mechanical rooms, on a rotating on-call schedule.

You’ll work with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, earn starting hourly pay from $26.47 to $33.09, and enjoy benefits such as housing discount, PTO, tuition assistance, and a cellphone stipend.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in multifamily/residential or hotel maintenance.
• Experience with building safety systems including fire alarms/sprinklers.
• Proficiency with smart devices and property management software for records and work orders.
• Experience with hand and power tools; knowledge of plumbing/electrical/appliances.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs across apartments, common areas, mechanical rooms, plumbing, electrical and appliances.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose issues and apply preventative measures.
• Utilize smart devices and property management software to maintain accurate records and complete work orders.
• Support on-call rotations and after-hours weekend emergencies.

Apartment Service Tech III | Windsor South Lamar - Austin, TX

Windsor South Lamar is a mid-rise style community consisting of 340apartment homes.

Successful Service Technicians can come from a variety of backgrounds including apartment maintenance, HVAC, general labor, construction, hotel, general building maintenance, and work order management. Must have intermediate competency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and carpentry. Must be available to be part of a rotating on call schedule for after hours and weekend emergency response.

Compensation: Our company considers a range of factors including education and experience when determining base compensation. Hourly : Starting at $26.47 - $33.09 per hour, depending on years of experience, tenure, and location. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with on-call every 3 weeks. Benefits:

Your Skills

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with multifamily residential, commercial or hotel maintenance
• Familiarity with building safety systems including the fire systems (sprinklers/alarms)
• Ability to use smart devices and property management software for maintaining accurate records and work order completion
• Advanced knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools
• Support the company’s values and cultures by providing exceptional service to teammates and residents
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and apply preventative measures with apartment homes, common areas, mechanical rooms, plumbing, electrical and appliance areas

Requirements

• Site specific certifications such as:
  • EPA Type II preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, some weekend work and ability to participate in the on-call rotations
