The Service Technician Level II (Make Ready) maintains the physical condition and appearance of the community. Responsibilities include identifying problems, completing service requests, and making repairs to maintain the community's material and aesthetic condition. The technician works according to safety standards, ensuring timely and reliable service, and strives to meet operational needs.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Assist in organizing and performing general duties, preventative maintenance, and repairs per safety standards.
  • Inspect vacated apartments, document renovations needed, and re-inspect for quality and presentation.
  • Perform duties to restore apartments to 'make ready' status.
  • Respond to repairs: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, painting, drywall, pools, spa, water features, trash systems.
  • Inspect grounds and buildings for safety and maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to resident requests, providing excellent customer service.
  • Promote safe work practices among team members.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Complete any additional duties as assigned.
  • Embodies Mill Creek’s mission, values, and brand in all actions.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ maintenance experience; multi-family experience helpful.
  • HVAC and CPO certification preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Ability to read, write, speak English; understand instructions and labels; communicate effectively.
  • Take measurements and perform basic arithmetic accurately.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management software.
  • Operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.
  • Handle chemicals, paint, and cleaning supplies responsibly.
  • Operate motorized vehicles such as cars, trucks, or golf carts.
