Job summary

Irvine Company Apartment Communities is seeking a Service Technician to perform maintenance across our on-site portfolio, handling service requests, vacant-unit upkeep, and preventative programs to high standards.

You will proactively identify hazards, deliver excellent resident service, and document all work in the company system, supporting a safe, well-maintained community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; multilingual is a plus.
• Valid California driver’s license with vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Executes maintenance operations across the community, including service requests and preventative maintenance.
• Maintains safe, clean common areas and responds to resident inquiries promptly.
• Performs quality turn maintenance for vacant units and tracks work on the system.
• Keeps accurate records of work performed using the designated platform.

Position Summary:

The Service Technician executes maintenance operations across the operating unit, including service requests, vacant apartment maintenance, preventative maintenance programs, and community-wide projects utilizing established quality and safety standards.

• Ensures community common areas and grounds are consistently maintained to company standards, proactively identifying and resolving any potential hazards.
• Provides excellent customer service by anticipating customer’s needs, addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Executes all resident service requests (work orders), preventative maintenance schedules, and performs quality turn service for vacant units.
• Maintains accurate records of work performed utilizing the appropriate operating platform.

Preferred Education:

• High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent experience

Preferred Years of Relevant Work Experience:

• 0 - 2 years

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Multilingual ability is a plus.
• The physical requirements for this position include: Below waist lift - 48lbs, Below to above waist lift - 34lbs, Push/pull (walking) - 60lbs force, Ladder climbing - Occasional, Unilateral balance - Average of 20 seconds or more per leg
• Travel between communities may be required daily. Ability to perform these functions at multiple sites is required
• After hours on-call support as needed
• Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law. (This role requires the regular and frequent operation of a vehicle, as defined in the Company’s MVR policy, and is part of the essential duties of this position.)
