Job summary

Normont Equipment is seeking a skilled technician to join our team for installation, maintenance, and repair of service truck bodies, cranes, and related equipment. The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and a strong mechanical aptitude across hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with optional technical certification. Welding is a plus, and the position involves outdoor work with manual dexterity and attention to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical wiring, and mechanical components.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus, but not required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble service bodies, cranes, and auxiliary equipment on trucks according to specifications.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems on service bodies and cranes.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety compliance.
• Fabricate, weld, and modify components as needed for custom installations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
