Job summary

Custom Truck One Source, based in Portland, OR, is seeking a Service Technician to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems on utility trucks, cranes and hydraulics. The role requires diagnosing diesel equipment, running diagnostic software, and performing maintenance on various manufacturers’ machines.

The position is full-time, on-site in Portland, with a standard daytime schedule, overtime as needed, and benefits including health, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Own set of tools required
• Experience with hydraulic fluid power troubleshooting
• Experience with diesel equipment and aftertreatment systems
• Experience with diagnostic software (Quick Serve, DTNA)
• Knowledge of 12V electrical systems including multi-plex wiring
• Understanding of truck mounted hydraulic systems and installation procedures
• DOT/ANSI testing and safety compliance

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and repair a variety of utility equipment from various manufacturers.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using appropriate tools.
• Test mechanical products and equipment to ensure they meet specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleanliness tasks on equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate records of parts, services, and labor for cost tracking.
• Adhere to safety protocols and attend monthly safety meetings.
• Follow installation instructions written and verbal
