CraneWorks in Hampton, NJ is seeking a Field Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile crane equipment (All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawler, Boom Trucks, Knuckle booms, etc.). Mechanical experience with electrical and hydraulics is required.

The role includes growing customer relationships and market presence and requires reading manuals and safety adherence. Candidates will undergo a skill assessment during the interview process.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years as Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician.
• Familiar with CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON, Greer systems.
• Ability to read operating and parts manuals and blueprints.
• Capable of diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain crane equipment.
• Operate and inspect cranes to identify defects.
• Use micrometers and gauges to measure parts and wear.
• Read manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and drawings.
• Test repaired equipment to OEM specifications and safety standards.
• Prepare parts lists and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Work independently with a strong safety mindset and comply with procedures.
• Travel for field work as needed (1–4 day intervals).
• CDL preferred but not required.

Job Summary:

This position will inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on various crane equipment including mobile cranes (All Terrain, Rough Terrain, Crawler Cranes, Boom Trucks, knuckle booms, bucket trucks, etc.). Mechanical experience required with electrical and hydraulics. It is part of this role’s responsibility to help grow the business by identifying new opportunities and contributing to the development of customer relationships and market presence. This is a summary description and therefore does not capture the entirety of the essential functions of the role. Candidates will be required to take a skill assessment as part of the interview/hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:

• A minimum 2 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician that can operate and inspect cranes in order to diagnose defects
• Demonstrates working knowledge of CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON, and Greer systems
• Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges
• Reads and understands operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings
• Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications
• Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements, manufacturer procedures, and other regulations
• Properly fills out working reports, hour’s reports, time sheets, hour’s overviews, work orders, and other company and customer paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
• Must complete expense reports in timely manner as dictated by the company policy
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends is a plus. Travel is required periodically for 1 to 4-day intervals for field techs. Our shop technicians work anywhere from 40 to 50 hours a week depending on immediate needs and our field technicians work anywhere from 40 to 80 hours a week depending on customer needs
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required for field technician positions CDL Preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

History of working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT and TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc, Liebherr, Terex, Palfinger, IMT, Cormach, National, Demag, Manitex, etc.
