Job summary

Polygon US is seeking a Service Technician to install, repair, and operate climate control equipment on customer sites, upholding the company values of Integrity, Excellence and Empathy.

You will be trained on OSHA, DOT, forklift, and safety standards within six months while supporting emergency drying and other climate service offerings. Comfort with travel and overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of technical school or two years on-the-job experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, HVAC, and basic mechanical skills. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform duties that are physical in nature.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and demobilize temporary climate control equipment on project sites.
• Use downtime to maintain and prepare equipment for upcoming projects.
• Complete Polygon Provided Training Requirements within the first 6 months, including OSHA 10, DOT, forklift and aerial lift certifications and safety courses.

Role Summary

Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, the Service Technician is responsible for install, repair, and operation of equipment in support of the services Polygon US provides to its customers while demonstrating Polygon’s values of Integrity , Excellence and Empathy. Services that are provided by Polygon include but are not limited to Temporary Climate Solutions and Emergency Drying Services.

Essential Job Functions

• Set up, maintain, and demobilize temporary climate control equipment on project sites
• While not working on assigned projects, utilize down time to maintain, and prepare equipment for upcoming projects
• Completion of Polygon Provided Training Requirements within the first 6 months of employment including:
  • OSHA 10-hour training for general industry
  • DOT physical and certification
  • Fork-lift and aerial lift certification
  • GHS Understanding safety data sheets
  • Hazard communication for general industry
  • Trailer load securement and safety
  • Electrical safety courses as follows:
    • Electrical Safe Work Practices
    • Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout Tag out)
    • Arc Flash
    • Basic psychometrics

Job Qualifications
