Bring your skills to the 2020 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Kenworth Sales Co., a 37-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a Service Technician to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Job Summary:

The primary function of the Service Technician is to perform high-quality repairs on customer equipment and make recommendations for further services as determined during servicing.

Responsibilities:

1. Receive repair order assignments from Shop Foreman.
2. Perform work in order, timely and thoroughly, maintaining high standards of workmanship.
3. Advise Shop Foreman of any recommended changes in customer services.
4. Determine if further repairs or services are needed and communicate these to the Shop Foreman.
5. Maintain training and experience with specialized equipment and techniques.
6. Attend training sessions as required.
7. Perform additional repairs if previous work was faulty.
8. Keep accurate work records and track time on jobs.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years’ experience in medium and/or heavy truck repair and maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and skills.
• VA State Inspector's certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Valid Class A or B CDL or willingness to obtain one.
• Certifications in Paccar, Cummins, and CAT, or willingness to obtain.
• Personal motivation and self-reliance.
• Desire to contribute to team success.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment safely.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English instructions.
