Bring your skills to the 2020 Kenworth Dealer of the Year! Kenworth Sales Co., a 37-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group, is looking for a Service Technician (2nd Shift) to join our team in Ashland, VA.

Job Details

• Schedule: 3:30pm-Midnight
• Primary function: Perform high-quality repairs to customer equipment and recommend further services as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from Shop Foreman.
• Perform repairs efficiently and maintain high workmanship standards.
• Advise Shop Foreman on recommended repairs.
• Determine additional repairs and communicate with the customer and Shop Foreman.
• Maintain training on specialized equipment and techniques.
• Attend required training sessions.
• Perform repairs when equipment is returned due to faulty workmanship.
• Keep accurate work records.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in medium/heavy truck repair.
• Strong mechanical skills.
• VA State Inspector's certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid Class A or B CDL or willingness to get one.
• Certifications in Paccar, Cummins, or CAT or willingness to obtain.
• Motivated, self-reliant, and team-oriented.
• Ability to operate tools safely.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• English reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
