Job summary

ComforTemp Heating and Air Conditioning in Willowbrook, IL is seeking an experienced Service Technician for commercial HVAC with competitive hourly pay. You will service, maintain, repair, and install HVAC systems, including retrofit projects, while educating customers on maintenance and IAQ products.

We offer training for NATE, dealer programs for Trane/Mitsubishi, a take-home vehicle with gas, company-paid training, and year-round steady work in a locally owned shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HVAC service experience in commercial and residential settings.
• Annual maintenance experience required.
• Refrigeration experience desired.
• EPA Universal Certification required or in progress.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across equipment types.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of air balancing principles.
• Must lift 50 lbs. and carry safely.
• HVAC school certificate desired; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide service, maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC systems.
• Perform retrofit/changeout installations.
• Explain problems clearly to customers and coworkers.
• Educate customers on preventative maintenance and IAQ products.
• Work with furnaces, AC, heat pumps, and related equipment.
• Perform duct work as needed.
• Read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Operate scissors and genie lifts safely.
• Install Trane and Bryant equipment.

Service Technician - Commercial HVAC| \$35.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on experience + Spiffs

Work Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm | Monday through Friday | occasional overtime

Job Duties

• Providing service, maintenance, repair and installation of Commercial and Residential HVAC Systems
• Retrofit / Changeout Installation
• Communicate clearly, ideas and explanations of problems to customers and coworkers
• Educating customers on the benefits of preventative maintenance and Indoor Air Quality products and Services
• Furnace, AC, heat pumps, split systems, RTU's, walk-in and reach-in coolers, Freezers, chillers, make up air units etc.
• Duct work as needed
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Operate scissors and genie lifts in safe manner
• We install Trane and Bryant equipment

• 3 + years of HVAC commercial & Residential service experience
• Annual maintenance experience
• Refrigeration experience - Desired
• EPA Universal Certification
• Experienced at troubleshooting, repairing, and performing maintenance for wide range of commercial and Residential HVAC equipment
• Customer Service - communicate clearly, ideas and explanations of problems to commercial customers and coworkers
• Familiar with air balancing principles and techniques
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Certification of completion from an HVAC Technical School -Desired
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
