Versa Mechanical is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role involves servicing RTUs, split systems, boilers, and ventilation while working independently with strong team support.

We offer a take-home vehicle and a compensation range that reflects experience. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, EPA Universal Certification, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control diagrams.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Strong diagnostic and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, boilers, and ventilation systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, and airflow issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service agreements for commercial customers.
• Read wiring diagrams and technical manuals; document service notes clearly.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
• Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, heat pumps, boilers, and ventilation systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, controls, and mechanical issues
• Perform preventative maintenance and service agreements for commercial customers
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, sequence of operations, and technical manuals
• Inspect equipment and recommend repairs, replacements, and system improvements
• Complete detailed service documentation and job notes
• Communicate professionally with facility managers, property managers, contractors, and business owners
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment
• Follow all safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
• Experience servicing:
  • Rooftop Units (RTUs)
  • Commercial Split Systems
  • Heat Pumps
  • Make-Up Air Units
  • Exhaust and Ventilation Systems
  • Commercial Refrigeration Equipment (preferred)
  • Boilers and Hydronic Systems (preferred)
• EPA Universal Certification
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control diagrams
• Experience with low-voltage controls and commercial building systems
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, airflow, and electrical diagnostics
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently
