Job summary

Mark-Taylor, Inc. is hiring a Service Technician at Brix Warehouse District in Phoenix, AZ to help keep our communities running smoothly by handling maintenance repairs and upkeep while delivering the five-star service that makes Mark-Taylor communities feel like home.

The role requires knowledge of plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry and related systems, with a base pay of $22.00 - $23.00 per hour plus an on-call $3.00/hour incentive and additional pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA

Qualifications

• General knowledge in multiple building systems including plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Assist in make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain supplies for the community.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance and carpentry issues.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks and cut keys.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and report to Facilities Manager.
• Share on-call duties and be available in uniform/badge.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

Requirements

• General knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards
• Knowledge of building systems
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
