Job summary

Mark-Taylor is hiring a Service Technician in Glendale, AZ. You will handle maintenance repairs, make-ready tasks, and ensure communities run smoothly while delivering five-star service.

The role requires 1+ year of multifamily experience and knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems. On-call shifts include additional pay; certifications add pay. On-site with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of multifamily experience as an apartment turn technician, make-ready technician, or work order technician required.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the completion of make-ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning/heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care and maintain chemical balance; ensure area is safe.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards and report to the Manager of Facilities and Service.

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications**

Requirements

In This Role You Will:

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
