Job summary

Mark-Taylor in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Service Technician to support maintenance and make-ready work at CityScape Residences. The role focuses on repairs, safety, and high-quality service for residents, with on-going opportunities for skill growth.

The position offers base pay around $22.00 per hour, with an additional $3.00 per hour on-call incentive and potential extra pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications. Full-time, on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician or make-ready technician is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completing make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintain supply of make-ready units.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and fix minor HVAC, appliance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and drywall issues.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care and ensure chemical balance and safety.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and report to Manager of Facilities and Service.
• Share on-call duty with the team and be available in uniform when needed.
• Monitor inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.

Compensation:

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $22.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications***

Requirements

• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will:

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Mark-Taylor standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, electrical problems, plumbing problems, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Complete minor roof repairs, re-key locks, and cut keys
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Share on-call duty with Manager of Facilities and Service, and service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of parts and cleaning supplies.
