Job summary

ADT Security Services is seeking a Residential Service Technician to troubleshoot and service security systems in residential settings. You will read blueprints, repair or replace faulty equipment, and coordinate inspections with authorities as needed, delivering timely resolutions for customers.

Responsibilities include locating damaged wiring, readjusting equipment, and maintaining clear communication with the customer care center.

Qualifications

• NICET Level 3 Certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product.

Position Summary

The Residential Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert who is responsible for alleviating concerns the customer may have regarding a security system. The Residential Service Technician advises customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes inspections.

• Read blueprints, building and electrical plans in order to complete equipment repairs.
• Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.

Qualifications - External

Education/Certification:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Nicet Level 3 Certification preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Pay and Benefits Disclosure

The pay range for this role is $24.71-$45.89 an hour and is based on experience and qualifications. We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and paid time off among others. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
