Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Des Moines is seeking Class B/C automotive technicians to join our Des Moines, IA service team. This full-time role requires Saturdays and offers a competitive flat rate hourly pay of $20–$35, with opportunities for experience-based advancement.

You will work under the Service Manager, performing diagnostics, brake/suspension/steering repairs, engine maintenance, and electrical diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a dealership or private shop.
• Class B and/or C technician level certification.
• ASE and manufacturer certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose cause of malfunctions and complete work to ensure safe operation per safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repair quality and performance.
• Document all work performed on repair orders, including test procedures and results.
• Maintain an inventory of essential mechanic tools and ensure they are properly calibrated.
• Perform brake, suspension, steering repairs, engine maintenance and basic electrical diagnostics as required.
