Lithia & Driveway family is seeking an experienced Class B or C Automotive Technician at L0181 Mercedes-Benz of Des Moines to diagnose, repair, and service vehicles in a fast-paced dealership environment. You will work on a variety of models, using scan tools and service information systems to ensure high-quality workmanship.

• Proficient in engine maintenance and basic electrical diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose malfunction causes and complete work per standards.
• Road-test vehicles to confirm repair quality.
• Document work on repair orders and track test results and time.
• Maintain inventory of standard mechanic tools.

Dealership: L0181 Mercedes-Benz of Des Moines Mercedes-Benz of Des Moines Hiring Immediately | Class B and C Automotive Technicians Pay: $20-35 per flat rate hour, based on experience Schedule: Full time, Saturdays required Reports to: Service Manager

What You'll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards
• Diagnose cause of malfunction and complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work
• Document work performed on repair order, record test procedures/results & time, per company recording & clocking procedures
• Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools

What You'll Bring

• Class B and/or C level technicians with 2+ years of experience in a dealership or private shop
• Up-to-date ASE and manufacturer certifications
• 1+ years of experience using scan tools and service information systems
• Independently perform brake, suspension, and steering repairs
• Proficient in engine maintenance and basic electrical diagnostics
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence
