You will follow manuals and specs, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance as part of a team. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2–5 years of mechanical assembly experience, and proficiency with calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, and rebuild gearboxes and power take-offs.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance.
• Follow technical manuals, assembly specs, and procedures.
• Document actions via production forms and service reports.
• Coordinate with customers via phone or Zoom to resolve questions.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Technician with extensive mechanical experience in assembly, disassembly, and rebuilding of complex machinery (Gearboxes and Power Take-Offs). Proven ability to follow technical manuals, assembly specifications, and procedural guidelines to ensure precision and quality. Adept at troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and working in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical Schooling in Mechanical Technology a plus
• 2-5 years of mechanical experience in assembly and disassembly.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, technical manuals, and assembly specifications.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to assemble products quickly and accurately.
• Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers to measure assembled components.
• Documents actions by completing production forms; quality forms; and Service Reports.
• Experienced in troubleshooting malfunctions and performing preventative maintenance.
• The ability to speak to customers via telephone or zoom to help resolve any questions or concerns with their gearbox.
• Committed to maintaining a safe and clean work environment in compliance with regulations.
• Quality focus; detail oriented; common sense judgements; and readiness for decision making.
• Effective team player with strong problem-solving skills.

Work Experience

• Minimum 2-5 years of Mechanical experience

Schedule & Location

• Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
• Overtime work will be scheduled as required.

Vacation

• One week after first year of service with one additional day for every additional year in service to a maximum of 4 weeks.
