Job summary

Superior Plus Propane is hiring an experienced Service Technician for New Milford, CT or North Haven, CT locations. The role covers propane service and tank installation, leak detection, and fast response to emergencies with on-call duties in the evenings and weekends.

The position requires 2–3 years propane/gas service experience, a High School Diploma, and a CDL A/B with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement. CDL/Hazmat and safety training are essential assets for career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years propane gas/oil service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• G1 or G2 Trade License required.
• CDL A or B with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement required.
• Willingness to rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Identify and correct leaks from tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed.
• Rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Perform tank maintenance on spare tanks in plants before use.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Possibly assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries.
• Communicate proactively with District Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers and customers.

What you'll do:

• Propane service and tank installation.
• Able to identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Respond to customer emergencies as needed
• Rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed
• Perform tank maintenance spare tanks located in the plants in preparation for putting them in service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
• Will be cross-trained to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed
• Consistently communicate proactively with the District Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers as necessary

What you bring:

• 2-3 years propane gas/oil service preferred
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
• G1 or G2 Trade License
• CDL A or B with Hazmat/ Tanker endorsement required
• Willingness to rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed

The hourly rate ranges from $ 28.00-33.00 , with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technical expertise.
