Job summary

Pavion is seeking a Service Technician to join our fire business unit in Matthews, NC. You will service, program, test, and inspect fire alarm and security systems at customer sites, ensuring equipment remains functional and safe.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of hands-on installation or service experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to diagnose and repair system faults. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and competitive hourly pay for field work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in installing or servicing burglar alarm, fire alarm, closed circuit television, access control systems.
• Knowledgeable about working on fire alarm and security systems; responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and inspecting.
• This position requires regular driving to customer and project sites; a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Service, Program, Test, and Inspect Fire Alarm Systems
• Ensure equipment is functional and operational
• Diagnose causes of problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
• Provide technical support to Customers including, remote phone diagnosis, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers
• Interact professionally with customers
• Coordinate with Manager and dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently
• Inform dispatcher and or manager the status of service to take appropriate action
• Maintains assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment

The hourly pay range for this position is $30.00–$40.00 per hour . The starting hourly pay will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
