Overview
My client is seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain automatic and semi-automatic packaging equipment at customer sites. This role involves hands on mechanical and electrical work, customer interaction, and travel throughout Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair packaging equipment including pallet wrappers, shrink, flow wrap, top seal, and bundling systems
- Troubleshoot PLCs, pneumatics, and electrical systems both onsite and in-house
- Prepare equipment for shipment and ensure operational and safety standards are met
- Train customers on proper equipment operation and maintenance
- Complete service reports, mileage, and expense documentation weekly
- Support service, sales, and operations teams as needed
- Travel within Florida with occasional national and international assignments
Requirements
- Technical education or equivalent experience (Millwright, Electrician, or similar)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with packaging or manufacturing equipment preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
