Job summary

Southern Tire Mart in Georgia is seeking a tire technician to mount, balance, rotate and repair tires across passenger cars, light trucks, large trucks, and industrial vehicles.

Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues on semi-trucks, fleet inspections, roadside response, TPMS maintenance, and safety compliance. Must lift 30–250 lbs and pass a pre-employment drug screen; full-time on-site role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Possible overtime may be required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Experience with heavy-duty or commercial tires preferred (not required).
• Ability to lift/move tires weighing between 30–250 lbs., with or without mechanical aids.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work involving repetitive motion, forceful exertion, and working in awkward postures or under vibration.

• Conduct fleet inspections and routine maintenance.
• Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic regulations.
• Respond to roadside service calls using a service truck when needed.
• Use and maintain TPMS.
• Assist with inventory loading, unloading, and physical counts.
• Participate in ongoing training, follow safety protocols, and uphold company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Use and maintain Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS).

Assist with inventory loading, unloading, and physical counts.

Participate in ongoing training, follow safety protocols, and uphold company policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.
