Southern Thrusters LLC, located in Houma, Louisiana, is seeking a Service Technician responsible for repair and maintenance of machinery in the marine propulsion service industry. This role includes assisting in services, performing troubleshooting, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Responsible for repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment associated with the marine propulsion service industry including the following brands. (Schottel, Rolls-Royce, Aquamaster, Steerprop, Ulstien, Brunvoll, ZF…)
High school diploma or equivalent
While performing the duties of this job, the Service Technician is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear, swim. It is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance. The assistant must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. These tasks are performed day or night and in all types of weather conditions. Work on/near deep water and electricity.
