Job summary

RDO Truck Centers in Fargo, ND is seeking a Service Technician to repair equipment with high quality and safety standards. The role may involve overtime and offers a base pay of $25–$40+ per hour with bonus potential and sign-on opportunities.

The technician will diagnose and repair, document work, maintain tools and area, and grow through training and company programs. Strong mechanical and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent mechanical skills.
• Trade-specific tooling including hand and pneumatic tools.

• Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions on equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Graduation from related diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the supervisor.
• Document machine information and repairs completed on work orders, including parts and fluids used.
• Maintain a clean work area and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
• Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities in the dealership’s area of responsibility.
• Maintain knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealership’s area of responsibility.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to company manuals and employee handbook.
• Conduct self in the presence of customers and community to present a professional image of RDO Truck Centers.
• Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop knowledge and skill set.
• Participate in all company/location driven communications efforts such as open book meetings, huddles, and department meetings.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with peers and management, with commitment to teamwork and customer service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.

Description

This individual will be responsible for the effective repair of equipment and components at high levels of quality. Their work must be completed in a safe, professional and timely manner. Based upon their level of expertise, the Service Technician may work under direct supervision. This individual must be able to perform quality work as efficiently and profitably as possible, with potential for overtime work as well.

$25 – $40+/ hour

• Eligible for efficiency bonus program based on individual performance
• Sign-on Bonus available for qualified applicants.
