Job summary

Mossy Auto Group is seeking experienced Service Technicians for a fast-paced, high-volume shop. You will inspect, service, and prepare new and used vehicles to factory and dealership standards, ensuring customer satisfaction by completing work correctly and on time.

Pay includes base hourly wage and flag-rate compensation between $34.00 and $45.00, plus a productivity bonus up to $50.00 per hour based on performance.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Strong automotive background is required.
• Clean CA driver's license is a must.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Must have good judgment and teamwork.
• Technical or trade school degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current models and used vehicles to communicate with service and sales staff.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C).
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional work and estimated time.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Comply with company and legal requirements for vehicle repairs.

The Service Technician inspects, services, & prepares new & used vehicles according to factory & dealership standards, policies & specifications. Responsibilities

• Maintaining up to date technical knowledge of current models and used vehicles sufficient to effectively communicate with service & sales staff
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Complying with all applicable company and legal requirements controlling vehicle repairs

Qualifications

• Must have clean & valid driver's license
• OEM certifications are encouraged!
• Ability to exercise good judgment
• Technical or trade school degree preferred
• Clean driving record/ valid CA drivers license.
