Mossy Auto Group is seeking experienced Service Technicians for a high-volume shop renowned for a fast-paced, productive environment and strong teamwork. The role inspects, services, and prepares new and used vehicles to factory and dealership standards, ensuring customer satisfaction by completing work correctly and on time.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Clean CA driver’s license is required.
• Experience in automotive service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current models and used vehicles to assist service and sales staff.
• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in line with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and components using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Provide time estimates to customers via Service Advisor for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

The Service Technician inspects, services, & prepares new & used vehicles according to factory & dealership standards, policies & specifications. The Service Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly and Flag Rate Compensation of between $34.00 and $39.00, plus a productivity bonus equivalent up to a maximum hourly rate of $50.00 per hour based on individual performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining up to date technical knowledge of current models and used vehicles sufficient to effectively communicate with service & sales staff
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Complying with all applicable company and legal requirements controlling vehicle repairs

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal
• Strong automotive background
• Strong teamwork skills
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions
• Must have clean & valid driver's license
• OEM certifications are encouraged!
• Ability to exercise good judgment
• Technical or trade school degree preferred
• Clean driving record/ valid CA drivers license
