Job summary

CT PACK Service Technician - Mechanical will deliver after-sales technical service for packaging machinery across the US and Canada. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance to keep installed equipment fully operational and productive.

Travel about 70% nationwide, assist in installation and commissioning, read mechanical drawings, and document interventions with clear service reports; liaise with HQ in Italy for escalation as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years' post‑sales service experience on packaging machinery.
• Willingness to travel about 70% across US/Canada.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Service Technician - Mechanical will primarily be responsible for providing after-sales technical service, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of packaging machinery installed at customer sites across the United States and Canada.

The role also includes supporting installation and commissioning activities, ensuring machines are properly set up and fully operational.

• Perform on-site troubleshooting, repair, and preventive/corrective maintenance of packaging machinery
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Execute routine service interventions and machine inspections
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers’ maintenance teams
• Support installation, assembly, and commissioning activities when required
• Assist in machine start-up, testing, and performance verification
• Liaise with HQ technical teams in Italy for issue escalation and resolution
• Prepare detailed service reports and intervention documentation
• Collect and share field feedback to support continuous product improvement

Education, experience, and other required skills

• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

Hard Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in after-sales service on industrial or packaging machinery
• Hands-on experience with automated packaging machinery
• Availability to travel extensively (approximately 70%) across the US and Canada
• Valid US driver’s license
