Job summary

Midwest Equipment Company, a Midwest leader in commercial food service equipment, seeks an experienced Service Technician to join our Carlyle, IL team. You will service soft serve equipment, grills, and ovens at customer sites, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and paid driving time.

You’ll need 2+ years in service tech, familiarity with refrigerants, and a valid driver’s license. Technical training and EPA Universal Card are a plus; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of service technician experience.
• Experience with refrigerants strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude required; commercial foodservice equipment experience is a plus.
• Occasional overnight travel.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical training and EPA card a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service commercial soft serve equipment, grills, and ovens at customer sites.
• Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure safety and quality.
• Provide excellent customer service and timely maintenance.
• Travel as needed; maintain company vehicle and tools.

We're currently seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our growing team in Carlyle, Illinois. In this role, you'll be responsible for servicing commercial soft serve equipment, grills, and ovens at customer locations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get out of working in outdoor conditions or tired of crawling through attics, plus, we pay for driving time. Ideal Candidate:

• 2+ years of service technician experience. Experience with other technical roles will be considered.
• Experience working with refrigerants strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude a must, commercial foodservice equipment experience is a plus!
• Occasional overnight travel during the week.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical school training and/or EPA Universal Card is a plus!
• Ability to work alone and with others
