Job summary

Midwest Equipment Company in Rockford, IL is seeking an experienced Service Technician to service commercial soft serve equipment, grills and ovens at customer sites. You will drive a climate-controlled van from home and handle repairs with a strong focus on service quality.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in service tech roles, comfort with refrigerants, a valid driver’s license, and a HS diploma. The position offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, occasional travel, and a benefits package

Qualifications

• Two or more years of service technician experience.
• Refrigerants experience strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude is essential for hands-on work.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or EPA Universal Card a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service commercial soft serve equipment, grills, and ovens at customer locations.
• Diagnose and repair equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures on every service call.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

We're currently seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our growing team in Rockford, Illinois. In this role, you'll be responsible for servicing commercial soft serve equipment, grills, and ovens at customer locations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get out of working in outdoor conditions or tired of crawling through attics, plus, we pay for driving time. Ideal Candidate:

• 2+ years of service technician experience. Experience with other technical roles will be considered.
• Experience working with refrigerants strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude a must, commercial foodservice equipment experience is a plus!
• Occasional overnight travel during the week.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical school training and/or EPA Universal Card is a plus!
• Ability to work alone and with others
