Midwest Equipment Company in Effingham, IL is seeking an experienced Service Technician to service commercial soft serve equipment, grills, and ovens at customer locations. You will be responsible for hands-on repairs and maintenance, with a Monday-Friday daytime schedule and occasional overnight travel.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of service technician experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a valid driver's license. High School diploma required; EPA Universal Card a plus.

• Refrigerants experience strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude required; food-service equipment a plus.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• High School diploma or equivalent; tech school or EPA card is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work alone and with others.

We're currently seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our growing team in Effingham, Illinois. In this role, you'll be responsible for servicing commercial soft serve equipment, grills, and ovens at customer locations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get out of working in outdoor conditions or tired of crawling through attics, plus, we pay for driving time. Ideal Candidate:

• 2+ years of service technician experience. Experience with other technical roles will be considered.
• Experience working with refrigerants strongly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude a must, commercial foodservice equipment experience is a plus!
• Occasional overnight travel during the week.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical school training and/or EPA Universal Card is a plus!
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work alone and with others
