Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years installing, servicing, and maintaining electronic security systems.
• Active Lenel OnGuard Certification (latest version).
• Strong hands-on experience supporting Lenel access control systems.
• Experience with video surveillance platforms and security integrations.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting access control hardware, control panels, power supplies, locking devices, and network-connected security equipment.
• Ability to pass a Tier 2 federal background investigation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Support the complete lifecycle of Lenel electronic security systems, including site surveys, system installations, device configuration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, audits, documentation, and customer support.
• Support approximately 12-15 buildings through a rolling audit and maintenance program; strong troubleshooting and service experience are critical.
• Respond to emergency service tickets as needed (up to 80 hours annually).
• Handle installation responsibilities as required.

Security Service Technician II (Lenel Certified) – Bethesda, MD

Loyal Source is seeking a highly skilled Security Service Technician II to support a long-term security program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. This position supports the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and works closely with Navy stakeholders in maintaining and servicing enterprise-level electronic security systems throughout multiple facilities on site.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced security professional with a strong Lenel OnGuard background who is looking to contribute to a critical federal security program. The role is primarily focused on service, maintenance, troubleshooting, system audits, and lifecycle support, with some installation responsibilities as required.

Position Details

• Location: Bethesda, MD
• Project Site: Walter Reed National Military Medical Center
• Contract Duration: 5-Year Program
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Paid Lunch Included
• Overtime: Up to 80 hours annually allotted
• On-Call Requirements: Emergency service tickets as needed (up to 80 hours annually)
• Health & Welfare: $5.42/hour
• Clearance: Secret Clearance preferred, but not required to start
• Background Investigation: Must be able to successfully pass a Tier 2 federal background check

Position Summary

The Security Service Technician II is responsible for supporting the complete lifecycle of Lenel electronic security systems, including site surveys, system installations, device configuration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, audits, documentation, and customer support. Operating with moderate supervision, this position requires a self-motivated technician capable of independently handling technical service activities while ensuring compliance with all customer and security requirements.

This role supports approximately 12-15 buildings through a rolling audit and maintenance program, making strong troubleshooting and service experience more critical than installation experience.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience installing, servicing, and maintaining electronic security systems
• Active and current Lenel OnGuard Certification (latest version required)
• Strong hands-on experience supporting Lenel access control systems
• Experience working with video surveillance platforms and security integrations
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Experience troubleshooting access control hardware, control panels, power supplies, locking devices, and network-connected security equipment
• Ability to configure IP addresses and network settings for security devices
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to pass a Tier 2 federal background investigation
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance
• Experience supporting federal or military installations
• Previous work supporting DHA, Department of Defense, or government security programs
• Familiarity with Milestone video management systems
