Job summary

Palmer Johnson is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our Dallas-Fort Worth area Service team. If you're mechanically minded and enjoy diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding equipment, we'd like to meet you. You will also receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus!

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around/on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Repair, rebuild and recondition industrial/heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical/DC systems.
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings and schematics.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair and test equipment.
• Perform field service and on-site repairs as needed.
• Identify parts needed to complete repairs.
• Communicate with customers, vendors and ourSales team.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
• Help train other technicians as your experience grows.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical/DC systems

What We're Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work around/on equipment

Preferred:

• 2+ years repairing heavy, industrial or off-road equipment
• Hydraulic and/or electrical troubleshooting experience
• Vocational, technical or military mechanic training
• Field service experience
