Job summary

Palmer Johnson Boats, Inc. in Sun Prairie, WI is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and rebuild heavy-duty transmissions, axles, differentials, torque converters and drivetrain components used in construction, material handling, and industrial equipment.

You will collaborate with a nationwide service team, perform OEM-compliant repairs, document findings, and communicate with customers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel, heavy equipment, or drivetrain repair experience.
• Technical training in diesel or automotive is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, disassemble, inspect, and rebuild heavy-duty components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues.
• Complete repairs to OEM specifications.
• Document findings and repair recommendations.

Palmer Johnson is hiring a Service Technician for our Sun Prairie Service Center. In this role, you'll work on heavy-duty transmissions, axles, differentials, torque converters, and other drivetrain components used in construction, material handling, agriculture, and industrial equipment. You will also receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus!

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, disassemble, inspect, and rebuild heavy-duty components
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of diesel, heavy equipment, or drivetrain repair experience
• Technical training in diesel or automotive is a plus, but not required
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and failure analysis skills
• Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and assembly drawings
• Valid driver's license
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the day
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
