SAM Service, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician in Albany, GA.

This in-person, full-time position involves traveling from home in a company vehicle to service commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment, with a Port-to-Port Pay policy ensuring pay starts as soon as you begin your route. You will diagnose and repair equipment, document work on an iPad, and communicate with customers, dispatchers, and manufacturer support.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair is required.
• EPA refrigeration certification preferred.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Willingness to work overtime and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Start your day from home in a fully equipped company vehicle.

What You’ll Do

• Start your day from home in a fully equipped company vehicle
• Get paid from the moment you start your engine (Port-to-Port Pay!)
• Use a company-provided iPad to manage work orders and documentation
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and manufacturer support
• Focus on service—not sales. Our office team handles quotes, parts, and billing

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair (required)
• Refrigeration/HVAC experience and EPA certification (preferred, not required)
• Strong technical and electrical skills—able to read wiring diagrams and manuals
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and other tech tools
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random testing
• Most importantly: a curious mind and a willingness to learn
