Job summary

SAM Service, Inc. in Albany, GA is seeking a Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair commercial cooking equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC.

You will start your day from home and drive a fully equipped company vehicle to job sites, delivering hands-on service with a focus on quality and customer trust. You’ll use a company-provided iPad to manage work orders and documentation, and you’ll join a team that values integrity, teamwork, and top-tier service.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair required.
• EPA refrigeration/HVAC certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Strong technical and electrical skills; read schematics.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Start your day from home in a fully equipped company vehicle
• Get paid from the moment you start your engine (Port-to-Port Pay!)
• Use a company-provided iPad to manage work orders and documentation
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and manufacturer support
• Focus on service - not sales. Our office team handles quotes, parts, and billing

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair (required)
• Refrigeration/HVAC experience and EPA certification (preferred, not required)
• Strong technical and electrical skills - able to read wiring diagrams and manuals
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and other tech tools
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random testing
• Most importantly: a curious mind and a willingness to learn
