Job summary

SAM Service, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician (Hot & Cold Side) for an in-person role in Jacksonville, FL. You will start from home in a fully equipped company vehicle and work on commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment across sites.

Tools of the trade include an iPad for orders and documentation. Overtime and rotating on-call schedules are part of the job, with opportunities for CFESA certification and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair is required.
• EPA certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manuals.
• Comfort with using tablets and other tech tools.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to work overtime and rotating on-call.

Responsibilities

• Start day from home in a fully equipped company vehicle.
• Get paid from engine start (Port-to-Port Pay!).
• Use a company-provided iPad to manage work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and manufacturer support.
• Office team handles quotes, parts, and billing; focus on service-not sales.

What You'll Do

• Start your day from home in a fully equipped company vehicle
• Get paid from the moment you start your engine (Port-to-Port Pay!)
• Use a company-provided iPad to manage work orders and documentation
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, and manufacturer support
• Focus on service-not sales. Our office team handles quotes, parts, and billing

What We're Looking For

• Experience in equipment maintenance or repair (required)
• Refrigeration/HVAC experience and EPA certification (preferred, not required)
• Strong technical and electrical skills-able to read wiring diagrams and manuals
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, and other tech tools
• Willingness to work overtime and participate in a rotating on-call schedule
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and participate in random testing
• Most importantly: a curious mind and a willingness to learn
