Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Service Tech I in Texas to maintain and repair rental equipment. You will perform checks, assist with pickups and deliveries, and help keep inventory organized, while delivering excellent customer service.

The role offers growth toward higher level Tech positions and a safety-focused environment. A high school diploma and valid license are required, with opportunities to advance within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of Diesel Engines, Vacuum Trucks, AC Systems, RV Systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs and inspections of equipment (oil, fluids, electrical, AC, plumbing).
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Manage and organize inventory.
• Other duties as needed.
