Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Service Tech I in Katy, TX. You’ll use your diesel, automotive or mechanical skills to perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on rental equipment in a safe and professional manner, with opportunities to advance in the Service Department.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-use maintenance checks, reporting machine condition, minor repairs, assisting with pickup/delivery, inventory management, and other duties as

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Basic knowledge of Diesel Engines, Vacuum Trucks, AC Systems, RV Systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position.
Basic plumbing knowledge.
Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use
Report machine condition to Management
Perform minor repairs of rental equipment including checking oil, grease, fluids, electrical systems, AC systems, Plumbing, and tagging of equipment for rental ready status
Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
Manage and Organize Inventory
Other duties assigned as needed
