Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Service Tech I to perform maintenance and minor repairs on rental equipment in a safe, professional manner. You will ensure high customer service standards while supporting service department goals.

The role offers opportunities to advance to higher level Tech roles, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
• Basic knowledge of Diesel Engines, Vacuum Trucks, AC Systems, RV Systems beneficial.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools relevant to position.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Outstanding customer service, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to Management.
• Perform minor repairs on rental equipment (oil, fluids, electrical, AC, plumbing).
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Manage and organize inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.
