Job summary

Gilchrist Automotive in Terrell, TX is seeking a full-time Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles bumper-to-bumper, perform multi-point inspections, and ensure safety and guest satisfaction.

You will service transmissions, A/C, engine mounts, timing belts, radiators, and head gaskets, keep notes, maintain a clean workstation, and build loyal guest relationships. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), savings accounts, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability and 18+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience at an automotive school or program.
• 2–3 years dealership experience is a plus.
• Automotive certificate is a plus.
• ASE certificates are a plus.
• Dedication to safety and serving guests.
• Positive, fun, team-minded attitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues and fix them correctly the first time.
• Administer multi-point inspections and warranty repairs.
• Service transmissions, A/C, engine mounts, timing belts, and more.
• Replace radiators and head gaskets.
• Deliver guests’ cars on time, every time.
• Take detailed notes during and after inspections.
• Keep workstation clean at all times.
