Job summary

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, completing multi-point inspections, servicing transmissions and A/C, and delivering cars on time. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and building loyal guest relationships.

Qualifications

• Must be available full time and at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience at an Automotive School or Program.
• 2–3 years of dealership experience plus.
• Automotive certificate a plus; ASE certificates a plus.
• Commitment to safety and guest service.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues accurately and fix them right the first time.
• Perform multi-point inspections and warranty repairs.
• Service transmissions, A/C, engine mounts, timing belts and more.
• Replace radiators and head gaskets as needed.
• Deliver guests’ cars on time, with clear notes.
• Keep the workstation clean at all times.
• Create and maintain loyal guest relationships.

Job Location: Gilchrist Chevrolet - Houston, TX 77074

As a Technician, you’re one of the most important team members at Gilchrist Automotive because you’re responsible for performing important vehicle service duties bumper-to-bumper. You’ll use your knowledge and skills to keep our guests safe on the road, follow safety procedures and regulations, and contribute to Platinum's reputation for excellence.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose mechanical issues, recommended and safety-oriented, and fix them correctly the first time
• Administer multi-point inspections and warranty repairs
• Service transmissions, air-conditioning, engine mounts, timing belts, and more
• Replace radiators and head gaskets
• Deliver guests’ cars on time, every time, as promised
• Take detailed notes during and post-inspection
• Keep workstation clean at all times
• Create and maintain loyal service guest relationships

What You’ll Need:

• Full time availability. You’ll also need to be at least 18 years old
• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Experience at an Automotive School or Program
• 2-3 years of prior dealership experience a plus
• Automotive certificate a plus
• ASE certificates a plus
