Job summary

Gilchrist Chevrolet in Houston is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose mechanical issues, perform multi-point inspections, and complete warranty repairs. You will service transmissions, A/C systems, engine mounts, timing belts, radiators, and more while delivering guests’ cars on time and maintaining detailed inspection notes.

The role requires full-time availability, a valid driver's license, and prior dealership experience.

Qualifications

• Full-time availability.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record.
• Experience at an Automotive School or Program.
• 2–3 years of prior dealership experience is a plus.
• Automotive certificate is a plus.
• ASE certificates are a plus.
• Dedication to safety and serving guests.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues, recommended and safety-oriented, and fix them correctly the first time.
• Administer multi-point inspections and warranty repairs.
• Service transmissions, air-conditioning, engine mounts, timing belts, and more.
• Replace radiators and head gaskets.
• Deliver guests’ cars on time, every time, as promised.
• Take detailed notes during and post-inspection.
• Keep workstation clean at all times.
• Create and maintain loyal service guest relationships.
