Rd& seeks a Refrigeration Service Team Lead to guide a field team of service technicians focused on safe, efficient, and high‑quality commercial/industrial refrigeration work. You will coordinate daily calls, provide technical guidance, and foster a collaborative, customer‑centric environment.

The role requires 5+ years of refrigeration service experience, EPA certification, and the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and manuals. A valid license and flexibility for on‑call shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial/industrial refrigeration service experience.
• EPA Certification required; additional industry certifications preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support refrigeration service technicians in the field.
• Assign and coordinate daily service calls and prioritize workloads to meet customer needs.
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance on commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable codes.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Maintain strong customer relationships by providing professional and responsive service.
• Assist with training and development of technicians, including onboarding and skill enhancement.
• Review service reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with dispatch, operations, and management to ensure timely completion of service work.
• Monitor parts usage and communicate material requirements to minimize downtime.
• Support after-hours and emergency service activities as required.
• Participate in performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure proper maintenance and care of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience preferred.


• Strong troubleshooting skills involving refrigeration systems, controls, and electrical components.


• EPA Certification required; additional industry certifications are preferred.


• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.


• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.


• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.


• Ability to work flexible hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
