Ziegler CAT is seeking a Service Support Specialist to lead field service efforts, coordinate repairs, and manage multiple projects to meet customer expectations. The role emphasizes timely, cost-effective project management across teams including contractors, engineers, and service technicians.

The position requires a high school diploma, some college training, and strong communication and MS Office skills. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School degree required; 2-year technical college degree preferred.
• Experience with diesel and gas powered engines.
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude including ATS, Switchgear, engine control.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suites.

Responsibilities

• Creates quotes for repairs for internal & external customers; includes parts and labor.
• Prepare equipment repair quotes for the sales department with items needed.
• Manage repair projects with contractors, engineers, customers, owners, utility, sales staff and technicians; provide status updates and invoicing.
• Coordinate with field service on repair projects and manage outside resources to meet schedule and budget.
• Adhere to and enforce safety policies on- and off-site.
• Perform site visits to discuss requirements and logistics with customers and partners.

Job description

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Service Support Specialist (1) to provide leadership and support for the field service team. They organize, schedule, coordinate, purchase, communicate, and lead the efforts of others. This position's main function is to provide timely, cost effective management of multiple projects to meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Creates quotes for both internal & external customers for repairs related to power generation equipment and related electrical systems and industrial equipment
• Prepare equipment repair quotes for the sales department, which includes entering parts, labor required, and miscellaneous items needed on quotes
• Mange repair projects with contractors, engineers, customers, owners, utility company, sales staff and service technicians and provide status updates throughout the projects, and maintains all invoicing and other documentation
• Coordinates with field service on repair projects, requiring the management of outside resources to bring projects in on time and within the budget constraints on the project.
• Adheres to and helps enforce safety policies both on-and off-site.
• Perform site visits with customers, contractors, engineers, owners, and Ziegler staff to discuss repair project requirements and logistics as required
• Responds promptly to phone calls or email requests
• Works in a cooperative manner with team and leadership

The pay range for this position is

$71,400.00 to $89,250.00

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
