Extension Inc is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support our client in Menomonee Falls, WI. This direct hire role fits someone transitioning from hands-on maintenance into a more office or technical support oriented position.

You will provide phone and remote troubleshooting, assist field engineers, interpret prints and BOMs, document activity, and communicate with customers and internal teams. A background with industrial machinery and strong troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial machinery or technical systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read prints, schematics, and BOMs.
• Comfortable providing remote/phone support.
• Clear communication of technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone and virtual troubleshooting support for industrial equipment issues.
• Support field service engineers and customers with diagnostics and repair guidance.
• Assist with parts identification, BOM review, and technical problem solving.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Evaluate customer issues and determine next steps, including escalation or on-site support.
• Document service activity in tracking systems and maintain accurate records.
