Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Superintendent- Service in York, PA to oversee service operations, audits, and coordination with mechanics. This role focuses on improving route efficiency, profitability, and training while maintaining compliance with elevator codes.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and a proactive approach to safety and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years’ experience managing a branch department or equivalent
• Ability to write reports, contract proposals and business correspondence
• Ability to present information to management and customers
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions

Responsibilities

• Visits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure route work is efficient and cost-effective.
• Performs NIM audits within 15 days of construction and modernization turnovers with feedback for future installations.
• Assists mechanics with jobs and provides on-the-job training.
• Uses accounting reports to review route profitability and provide data to management.
• Participates in safety training and ensures compliance with codes.
• Provides input to sales on scope of work and materials for bids.
• Provides feedback to the service manager before field evaluations and performance reviews.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local elevator codes.
• Attends training classes to stay current with factory equipment updates.
• Determines materials needed for service, repairs, and parts orders.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
