Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Superintendent- Service in York, PA. The role focuses on ensuring service operations run efficiently and cost-effectively, supporting mechanics, auditing routes, and managing bid inputs and materials.

Strong knowledge of elevator industry codes and ongoing product updates are essential. Responsibilities include site visits, audits, safety training participation, and collaboration with sales for scope and cost estimation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction industry and management or business knowledge
• Ability to write reports, proposals and business correspondence
• Ability to present information to management and customers
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and variables
• Requires a valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record

Responsibilities

• Visits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure route work is efficient and cost effective.
• Performs NIM audits within 15 days of turnovers; identify issues and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Assists mechanics with jobs and on-the-job training.
• Reviews accounting reports to assess route profitability and provide feedback.
• Participates in safety training and develops staff.
• Provides input on scope and materials for bids; calculates labor and material costs.
• Keeps up with federal/state/local elevator codes and attends training; stays current with product updates.
• Determines materials to order for service, repairs and parts.
• Works with regional field trainers to support service operations.
