Job summary

Motion Industries seeks a Service Shop Manager to plan, manage, and review production operations, ensuring output and quality goals are met. You will hire, train, and coach a team of five or more shop employees, coordinating tasks and resources for optimal efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to maintain ISO and safety programs while collaborating with vendors and branch staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to motivate and manage priorities.
• Knowledge of machining processes, metals, and measurements; ability to read hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of five or more shop employees.
• Develop and implement production schedules for labor and equipment.
• Provide coaching and feedback to staff.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate and sign off items leaving the shop.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and branch personnel.
