Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a Service Shop Manager to plan and oversee production operations, hire and coach a team of five or more shop employees, and ensure quality and safety standards. The role emphasizes scheduling, resource allocation, and regulatory compliance across a dynamic shop environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, machining knowledge, CAD/CAM proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities daily while maintaining high safety and quality

Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication required.
Ability to manage priorities daily and motivate a team.
Operate shop equipment safely and efficiently.
Knowledge of metals, measurements, machining processes and QA.
Proficiency in reading hydraulic schematics and applying math to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and review production operations to meet output and quality goals.
Hire, train, and coach a team of five or more shop employees.
Develop and implement production schedules for optimal labor use.
Monitor performance metrics and allocate resources for quality and efficiency.
Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards are followed.
