Job summary

Motion is seeking a Service Shop Manager in the United States (Oregon) to plan, manage, and review production operations and to hire, train, and coach a team of five or more shop employees. The role emphasizes leadership, scheduling, quality, and regulatory compliance at customer sites.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of related experience and strong skills in machining, CAD/CAM software, and safety programs. This is a full-time on-site position with an emphasis on ISO and quality systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ten or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of five or more shop employees performing skilled trades, lower level apprentice craft work, and operation of machines used in production processes.
• Develops and implements production schedules to ensure the effective use of labor, tools, and equipment.
• Provides coaching and feedback to shop employees.
• Assigns and coordinates tasks based on workload.
• Monitors performance metrics and allocates resources for high quality service and efficiency.
• Ensures compliance with local and national regulatory agencies and safety standards.
• Responsible for installation, diagnostics, repair and support for products at customer locations.
• Maintains ISO and Motion Quality System and Safety/Loss Prevention program.
• Maintains rapport with vendors, branch personnel and Motion specialists.
• Evaluates, checks, and signs all completed items leaving the shop facility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
